I especually do this if I want the sim to get married and have kids, or else college takes up most of adulthood. If they plan to have a career that doesn't need a degree, like fabricating and gardening or singer/songwriter, I might have them do one or 2 semesters and cheat their degree in accorrding to how well they did. What I usually do is if the player has the personality and career that would demand a master's degree or higher in the real world (doctor, lawyer, scientist, professor, etc ) I will do the full 3 weeks. A freelance career might work in tandem or selling things like paintings and books. It's also not a great idea if you plan on having your sim work while they're in college. It's a very active thing that needs a lot of micromanaging, so trying to balance that and spouse and/or kids and a pet is a lot. If you're wanting to do a lot of family gameplay, I wouldn't do it or do it with mods to change term lengths. If they go as a young adult, it's almost like spending yrs 18-30 in college, imo. College takes three in-game weeks with a full load. ![]()
